“We are soooo back”. I lost the count of how many times I have seen this phrase on X since Donald Trump doubled down on his territorial expansion doctrine. No wonder, many put equal sign between greatness and expansion. However, what should we make of this promises of grandiose?

Besides reigniting the patriotic spirit, can we expect Donald Trump to follow through? Should he follow through? And most importantly - how probable is it that he will?

The story of American imperialism continues. And so I will go in and decipher Trump’s plans for the next four years in terms of foreign policy. I will focus on the current doctrine as well as what led to its creation. I will comb through Trump’s scattered communication to outline his changes to the current doctrine. And finally I will put it against the world as it is today, with all its challenges.
